David DeBry has been an organization, talent development, and strategy consultant for over 20 years. He has worked in manufacturing, non-profit, and consulted with and run small businesses.
David has an undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University in Anthropology (Archaeology emphasis), and an M.S. and Ph.D. in Instructional Design from Utah State University. His dissertation focused on building training materials for a global audience, and he loves interacting with other cultures.
He served a 2 year volunteer mission for his church in the former East Germany from 1991-1993 so he has an affinity and love for Eastern Europe. David also likes to spend time with his family, travel, be in the outdoors, and run.
His passion for volunteering with nonprofits started when his wife signed their family up for a humanitarian trip to Mexico. They have been on 6+ trips since and love to serve and volunteer at home and abroad. When he learned about the mission of One Heart Children's Foundation, and their desire to grow and help more at-risk children in Eastern Europe, he asked to help. His role on the board is to assist with strategy, operational excellence, human resources, and student projects.
