As Treasurer for One Heart Children's Foundation, Dixie Banham is grateful for the opportunity to contribute her expertise and support the organization's mission. With a background in bookkeeping and accounting, particularly within the nonprofit sector, Dixie ensures the organization's financial health remains robust. Because of Dixie's experience in the non-profit sector, she understands the critical importance of transparent financial reporting for both board members and public scrutiny.
Inspired by the goals, excitement, and leadership of One Heart Children's Foundation, Dixie was anxious to make a commitment beyond her current professional endeavors. Her involvement with One Heart Children's Foundation stems from a heartfelt desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of Eastern European orphans. She firmly believes in the transformative power of compassion and support for vulnerable children, motivating her to dedicate her skills and resources to this cause.
Alongside her husband Buckley, she cherishes time spent with their five wonderful children, two amazing sons-in-law, and three adored grandsons. Her favorite times are cheering on soccer and water polo games and cherishing moments with the grandkids. When those quiet moments come, Dixie will be quilting, crocheting, and gardening.
